How to Participate?

Participants can join as a team of 4-5 members or as individual, who will be asked to form a team among other indivual registrants during the day 1 networking session. You can also join as a visitor, participating in Day 1 workshop and talks along with the oppurtunity to visit the hackathon teams during the competition.

About

Luxathon is a dynamic 24-hour illumination hackathon that challenges participants to fuse creativity and technology in crafting transformative lighting experiences. Bringing together individuals with diverse skills, from design and engineering to programming, Luxathon explores the intersection of traditional and cutting-edge lighting methods. Participants work collaboratively to conceptualize and implement projects that showcase the innovative potential of light, utilizing technologies like LED, smart lighting, and interactive installations. The event culminates in a showcase where projects are judged based on creativity, technical innovation, and overall impact. Luxathon not only fosters community and cross-disciplinary collaboration but also serves as a platform for networking and skill development, propelling the field of illumination design forward. As a unique blend of rapid prototyping and aesthetic considerations, Luxathon inspires participants to redefine the possibilities of light in shaping our surroundings.

Terms and Conditions

Read the Terms & Conditions carefully before buying your tickets.

  • The hackathon is open to bothe individual registrants and teams with a minimum of four and a maximum of five members.
  • If an individual has registered without a team, they will be asked to form one with other individual registrants during the day 1 networking session.
  • The team must carry the basic programmable boards, and components for the competition will be provided (returnable after the event).
  • Each team is required to have at least one laptop.
  • After the payment, no refunds will be processed.
  • Participants should bring their college ID card/Government-Approved ID Card to enter the premises.
  • A soft copy of the IEEE membership card has to be shown at the registration desk. Non-IEEE members registered as IEEE members and Non-PES/PHO members registered as PES/PHO members will be imposed with a fine of Rs. 400.
  • Students registered as IEEE PES/PHO Members, should provide their PES/PHO Membership subscription while registering and should keep a soft copy to be shown at the registration desk.
  • Your vehicle is not allowed inside the campus as well and no safeguarding of your vehicle will be provided by the authorities.
  • A cloakroom will be provided inside the venue. However, the organisers won't be held responsible for any lost wallets, ornaments, etc.
  • Students shouldn’t leave the college premises without providing valid consent to the event coordinators.
  • Beds will be provided. You are requested to bring a bed sheet and the necessary commodities if required.
